We are told again and again by "experts" and "talking heads" that Islam is the religion of peace, and that the vast majority of Muslims just want to live in peace. Although this unqualified assertion may be true, it is entirely irrelevant. It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us feel better, and meant to somehow diminish the spectre of fanatics rampaging across the globe in the name of Islam. The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history.
It is the fanatics who march. It is the fanatics who wage any one of 50 shooting wars worldwide. It is the fanatics who systematically slaughter Christian or tribal groups throughout Africa and are gradually taking over the entire continent in an Islamic wave. It is the fanatics who bomb, behead, murder, or honour-kill. It is the fanatics who take over mosque after mosque. It is the fanatics who zealously spread the stoning and hanging of rape victims and homosexuals. The hard quantifiable fact is that the "peaceful majority", the "silent majority" is cowed and extraneous. Communist Russia comprised Russians who just wanted to live in peace, yet the Russian Communists were responsible for the murder of about
20 million people. The peaceful majority were irrelevant. China's huge population, it was peaceful as well, but Chinese Communists managed to kill a staggering 70 million people. The average Japanese individual prior to World War 2 was not a warmongering sadist. Yet, Japan murdered and slaughtered its way across South East Asia in an orgy of killing that included the systematic murder of 12 million Chinese civilians; most killed by sword, shovel and bayonet. And, who can forget Rwanda, which collapsed into butchery? Could it not be said that the majority of Rwandans were "peaceful & loving"?
History lessons are often incredibly simple and blunt, yet for all our powers of reason we often miss the most basic and uncomplicated of points: Peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by their silence. Peace-loving Muslims will become our enemy if they don't speak up, because like my friend from Germany, they will awake one day and find that the fanatics own them, and the end of their world will have begun.
Peace-loving Germans, Japanese, Chinese, Russians, Rwandans, Serbs, Afghans, Iraqis, Palestinians, Somalis, Nigerians, Algerians, and many others have died because the peaceful majority did not speak up until it was too late. As for us who watch it all unfold; we must pay attention to the only group that counts; the fanatics who threaten our way of life. Lastly, at the risk of offending, anyone who doubts that the issue is serious and just deletes this email without sending it on, can contribute to the passiveness that allows the problems to expand.
So, extend yourself a bit and send this on and on and on!! Let us hope that thousands, world wide, read this - think about it - and send it on.

so...what do you want the muslims to do? Fight each other? Kill each other? Eradicate those extremists by their means? Come on now, THAT IS NOT LOGICAL. You see, since Islam is a religion of Peace, those with the true Islam will only act peacefully. We muslims though we want to stop them now, what can we do? We can't just go into Iraq and say "hey well you see, it's not Islam what you're doing, so stop it". All we can do, is voice out the truth thru the media and condemn them, we are powerless for God's sake! The real muslim, don't have guns, we don't hold power, we live simple lives, and we live in peace. That explains why we cannot stop all these, even though how much we want to. It's not that we just sit back and relax, but again, we can't do anything! We just try to get them back to the right path in the proper, non-rutal way, cause as we all know, Allah is merciful and accepts repentance. Plus, if we take a look at everyday killings, theft, crime and all that in every country in the world, do we say "one christian/buddhist robbed a shop" do we? but with muslims, we just have to say the religion. That's just totally unfair!!! So now who's been victimized? Who's discriminated? Us muslims! so when we go to some shop they look at us as if we're about to massacre them. And we're totally innocent! But how do we show our innocence vs. the media? Run around like maniac and yell "I'm a muslim and I'm innocent! I condemn the extremist!" ? Our side is just being so unheard. PLus, if you add up all the crimes other religion commits, it would be more than the muslims extremist and what? it's taken for granted!

great blog. but i believe the people who think right, know these things basically and the people who don't think right, will not change their mind with reading these things. i mean i think you're wasting your time with saying these things over and over. we know these things word by word and those extremists who don't, they won't be changing their minds with just reading a blog.

Islam is not a religion of peace and tolerance as they claim. The fact that they encourage their followers to make war on others, lie, cheat, and steal pretty much gives me a clear picture of who and what they are... I don't need to read and study their "holy" books in depth to know the danger that their beliefs pose to the rest of the world. Read a few pages and verses and anyone with a bit of common sense and half decent reasoning capabilities can figure this out for themselves.

I live in the biggest muslim country in the world and I'm not a muslim. While some moslem always say that they do promote religious tolerance but that's only on the surface level. MANY of them have the tendency of undermining other beliefs. Simply said, even their ustadz always declaring other religions as UNTRUE and theirs are the ONLY way. Quran also says it's LEGAL TO KILL INFIDELS IN THE NAME OF ALLAH.. so my friend muslim.. by taking your leap of faith, you may distance yourselves from the rest of the world. Particularly non-muslim. I truly hope that someday you can realize how wrong this teaching is.. it's like a rotten apple.
